Yes—always. Positive reinforcement is the foundation of all our training. We use treats, praise, toys, and affection to reward good behavior. Any tools we use are introduced thoughtfully and in combination with rewards, not as a replacement for them.

We may use tools such as:

• Slip leads or prong collars for leash guidance
   
• Remote collars (e-collars) for recall and off-leash training
   
• Crates, place cots, and leash tethers for structure and focus
   

These tools are never used to harm or punish. They’re introduced gradually with your full understanding and consent.

Never. We always get your consent first. We’ll explain why a tool is being recommended, demonstrate how it works, and ensure you’re comfortable before we use it. If you’re not comfortable, we’ll respect that and adjust the training plan accordingly. 

Yes—when used correctly. All tools are introduced with proper guidance, at the right time, and with your dog’s well-being in mind. We’re experienced in using them safely, fairly, and humanely. If a tool isn’t a good fit for your dog, we won’t use it.

Yes, and we encourage it! You’ll receive written session recaps, homework tips, and hands-on guidance so you can reinforce training between visits. Our goal is to empower both you and your dog.
